We proudly introduce the Bio-Tuner Model BT7, the latest Bio-tuner (Brain-tuner) from SOTA Instruments Inc. This new unit replaces all previous Bio-tuner BT models, including the original BT6 Pro and the BT5.
PLEASE NOTE: As of Spring 2007, the latest model no longer uses a custom headset. Instead a custom cable with ear-clips is now used to provide better functionality and performance. Please disregard any reference to a Headset in the info on our website.
The Bio–Tuner is an electronic relaxation system based on the research that was first introduced with the BT5 in 1983.
The BT7Bio–Tuner outputs a modified rectilinear waveform with over 500 harmonic frequencies in each pulse. 6 different user-selectable Modes settings are available.
The BT7 offers the following advanced features:
Quartz crystal frequency control.
Advanced microcomputer operation. The proprietary software routine is written by SOTA to ensure consistent and reliable output.
Built–in 20 minute digital timer.
Very simple intuitive operation.
A push-button switch to easily change the output to each of the 6 different modes. (Mode 1 is the same as the BT5pro.)

The Bio-Tuner BT7 offers 6 user-selectable output modes that research shows have varying effects. Requests from satisfied users poured in to SOTA asking to have the option for these alternative modes in the Bio-Tuner as user- selectable options. In all modes the base frequency of 1,000 Hz pulse-modulated by 111.11 Hz is present. This is the "magic frequency" that was found to work where other’s failed. This ensures the user will indeed get the expected benefits of the Bio-Tuner, regardless of which mode is selected. The modes can also be looked at as "comfort settings". Due to government regulations, we are not allowed to disclose specifics on the effects that each different mode might produce. Individual results may vary.

Other Functions
20 Minute Timer Elapsed: After 20 minutes have elapsed, the output is disabled, and the unit goes into standby mode.
LOW Battery Warning: Red Light will come ON to indicate battery will soon need replacing.
Earclip and Output Signal Electrical Circuit Verification Indicator: Yellow Light will only come ON when the electrical path through the Earclips is complete and functioning correctly.
The Bio-Tuner Professional Edition Model BT7:
The Bio-Tuner has been a leader in electronic relaxation systems since 1983.
SOTA has an exclusive license to manufacture the Bio-Tuner Model BT7.
There was great interest in upgrading the hugely successful BT5 and BT6. Under exclusive manufacturing and design license, SOTA Instruments Inc. has completely re-designed the BT6Pro model of Bio-Tuner, which is now called the BT7 (professional edition of the BT6). The BT7 not only has advanced features like those found on the BT6, but it is available at a very affordable new price (lower) and sports a never-before-offered 3 year warranty. Because SOTA has full control over manufacturing and design, the limited availability of the older model BT5 and even the BT6 Pro is not an issue with the BT7.
NOTE:The BT6, BT5 and BT5pro are no longer available except as used units.
The BT7 Bio-Tuner is the upgraded version of the BT6 Pro and includes a digitally-controlled 20 minute automatic shut-off timer, 6 different Mode selections, and a Low Battery warning light. The BT7 is microchip controlled and includes a quartz crystal timer to ensure stable and precise frequencies. The microcomputer's software is written by SOTA.
The BT7 is covered by a 3 year warranty on internal mounted components.
The BT7 is very lightweight (a few ounces) and operates from a standard 9-Volt Alkaline battery.
The BT7 is housed in an attractive "PC-Bone" colored ABS plastic box, with a built-in compartment for the 9 Volt battery. A slide-off lid allows you to change the battery easily. A Thumbwheel Switch Control Knob turns The BT7 on and off and varies the intensity of the output. The Green LED light indicates the output Mode. When the Headset is functioning correctly, the Yellow light will come ON. The RedLED light is a low battery warning light. When this Red light goes on, it's time to get a fresh battery.
The BT7 is packaged in a lidded cardboard "die-cut mailer" box for easy storage.

Electrical Specifications:
Maximum <1.5mA Peak ~40 Volts Peak-Peak into typical 4k ohm load. Minimum <~10 microamperes, 10 Volt Peak-Peak at lowest setting. Output impedance ~20k ohm.
Modified rectilinear wave with rapid rise time (under 1uS). There are over 500 harmonic frequencies delivered in each pulse as observed on a frequency domain (not time domain) spectrum analyzer.
Base waveform (Mode 1) 1,000 Hz Square wave (+/- 1%) pulse-modulated by 111.11 Hz (+/- 1%) Square wave. Waveforms are Microchip Quartz Crystal-Controlled for precise frequency output. There are 6 user-selectable output Modes.
9-Volt DC Alkaline Battery operation, useful to end voltage ~6.2 Volts. Battery drain: minimum ~9mA @ 9 Volts to maximum of 30mA with output fully loaded.
Auto-shutoff time of 20 minutes. Controlled digitally.
Pulses are Bi-Phasic (AC) with no DC or offset bias. Output is transformer coupled so that no direct current can appear at electrodes. The algebraic sum of positive and negative-going pulses is zero. Low battery indicator. Low battery circuitry illuminates Red LED light when battery voltage falls below 5.2 Volts.
